As purpose-driven, passion-fuelled, small business owners and entrepreneurs, we’re on a mission to make an impact in our industries. Unfortunately, that often comes at a high price – our personal health and wellbeing.

The reality of running a business is significant. Holding the responsibility for the organisation and those in it, working tirelessly under excessive workloads, managing competing demands for your time, the constant decision-making at speed, wearing multiple hats, doing thankless tasks with little reward, sacrificing your personal life to get the job done, and many of us are dealing with this pressure alone.

We’re exhausted, depleted, and operating from survival mode, yet we feel as though we can’t take the necessary time out to properly recharge our batteries.

But at what cost?

Recent research shows that burnout is affecting 38% of the global workforce1, and 53% of SME owners are experiencing stress in running their businesses (up from 45% in 2020)2. Furthermore, burnout and stress-related absenteeism is costing the Australian economy an estimated $14 billion annually3.

What does a burnout rate of 38% equate to in your organization?

And how much is it costing (you and) your company?

Think of it this way: as leaders, we’re the engine of the ship, and if the engine fails, the whole ship can go down. Our wellbeing, therefore, shifts from a nice-to-have to being mission-critical.

Rest assured - there are steps you can take to reclaim your physical and mental health and wellbeing.

If you are ready to shift from surviving to thriving, and equip yourself—and your team—with science-based strategies to break the cycle of stress and burnout and cultivate sustainable health and performance, then the Thrive: Burnout Prevention in Leaders workshop is an ideal solution.
